Instant form

A lead form that opens inside Facebook or Instagram, pre-filled with the details Meta already holds.

Definition

Tap the ad and a panel slides up carrying the name, email and phone number attached to the person’s Meta account. They confirm, they submit, and they are back in the feed. Your website is never involved and nothing has to load.

Why it matters for HVAC

It produces the cheapest leads available on the platform and the least considered ones, at the same time and for the same reason. Removing every obstacle between seeing an offer and claiming it also removes the pause in which someone decides whether they meant it.

In a heat wave that pause is what separates a homeowner who wants your engineer from one who is tapping every same-day promise in the feed and will book whoever calls first.

How it is measured

Cost per lead is the number everyone quotes. The one that matters is the share of those leads your office actually books, which lives in your CRM and not in Ads Manager. Track the two together or the cheap number will win arguments it should lose.

A worked example

A contractor runs instant forms at $38 a lead and a landing page at $71. On cost per lead the form wins by a mile. Booked: the forms convert at 6% and the landing page at 19%, so the form costs $633 a booked job and the page costs $374. The expensive leads were cheaper.

These figures are invented to show the arithmetic. They describe no real business.

What to watch

Meta offers a higher-intent version of the form that adds a review step before submission. It lowers volume and raises quality, and an agency optimising for a lead count on a monthly report has an incentive not to mention it.

Where this is demonstrated

The Instant form campaigns pillar scores every listed agency on what they document here, and gives you the questions that tell you which one you are being sold.
