Dynamic creative

Supplying several images, headlines and body texts and letting Meta build and test the combinations.

Definition

You provide the components. Meta assembles them, serves the combinations, and concentrates delivery on whatever performs. It is a way to test more variations than a person would build by hand.

Why it matters for HVAC

It is genuinely useful for finding which offer and which framing works, and it is a poor substitute for creative volume. Six headlines on one image is one creative dressed as six, and it does nothing about fatigue, because the audience is still seeing the same picture.

It also makes reporting harder in a way that matters. Results come back at the ad level rather than per combination, so working out which specific pairing won takes deliberate effort that often does not happen.

How it is measured

Ask for the asset-level breakdown, which Meta provides but which is not the default view. If nobody can tell you which combination is carrying the ad set, the test has generated performance without generating knowledge.

A worked example

A dynamic ad set runs four images against five headlines. It performs well and the account keeps it running for three months. Nobody extracts which pairing drove it, so when it fatigues there is no learning to carry into the next round, and the next round starts from the same place the last one did.

These figures are invented to show the arithmetic. They describe no real business.

Where this is demonstrated

The Creative production pillar scores every listed agency on what they document here, and gives you the questions that tell you which one you are being sold.
